Wellbeing Service

Talk To Stu Wellbeing Service, Working Together for Change
Often in life people find themselves in a situation where their general mood becomes very low and even moves in to clinical depression.

More often than not this is caused by extenuating circumstances in that person's life – loss of job, reduced income, loneliness brought on through isolation (often connected to the loss of job and income), problems with dealing with government agencies (DWP & HMRC being the most common) and so on.

Addressing Your Mental Wellbeing

When people are going through these difficult periods they will look at receiving counselling to help them through.

Counselling, while very helpful in most cases, does not always deal with the exacerbating factors that can cause or maintain the depression.

When depression is brought on by circumstances outside our control, the individual may need direct and practical support with address and bring present problems to a conclusion, so that the person can rebuild themselves and move on.

When this occurs the depressive mood is often reduced or, in some cases, goes away altogether and the person finds themselves in a consistently better frame of mind.

Wellbeing Services in Worcester and Nationwide

This service aims to build the client's confidence and life skill set so that they are better able to support themselves in the future. This may be achieved by creating a “toolbox” of mental health skills that enable the client to recognise changes in their mood and mental state so that they can quickly make changes to improve their situation.

How It Works

The Wellbeing service is a maximum of six one-hour sessions aimed at working with the client to find a route through the quagmire and give them the life skills necessary to navigate it.

The first session is a full assessment of the client's issues and needs in order to develop a tailored care plan, within which specific goals for both the client and the service are made and agreed.

At this point the client has the opportunity to agree or decline the service with no obligation to take up the service offered.
